Installation

Rugged Ridge® HD Front Bumpers feature simple bolt-on installation—no cutting, trimming, drilling, or other modifications are required. Rugged Ridge includes all necessary hardware and installation instructions for hassle-free at-home mounting—however, we recommend having an extra pair of hands to prevent injury, damage to the vehicle, or damage to the bumper while installing.

RUGGED RIDGE 5 YEAR WARRANTY
When your product is purchased from Omix-ADA®/Rugged Ridge and is not separately warranted by either Omix-ADA® or the manufacturer, then this Limited Warranty gives you specific legal rights and is the only warranty Omix-ADA® makes in connection with your purchase. Omix-ADA® neither assumes nor authorizes any manufacturer, vendor, retailer, other person or entity to assume for it any other obligation or liability in connection with its products or this Limited Warranty.

What is Covered?

Purchased an HD fill with bumper and X striker Bar for a 22 Gladiator Mojave. Took longer to remove factory bumper than the install. Modified factory skid plate to fit with bumper by cutting notches out for 2 braces and for 2 fog lights. Winch install was a very tight fit, and had to fabricate a plate for battery disconnect. HD Stubby JLU with a Badlands Apex 12000

Purchased the stubby HD with the Stryker bar with overall weight and recessed winch being key considerations.

Looks great once installed and transfer of factory Sahara LED fog lights fit with no issues although I would have preferred possibly an enclosure for the backs of the lights and wire harness.

with the time and effort to align and mount the bumper as the bolts (and plastic tab’s holding them in place) did not work well what lining them up with the frame.

Was eventually able to get the bolts in and nuts on.

Installing the winch was a (very) tight fit, but made possible with the relocation of the positive cable from the control box from the back to the side. The winch upper control box exterior back does touch the grill, but should be ok and not interfere with operation of the winch. Read Less

Be Aware If you plan to use Factory Rubicon Fog Lights - They do not fit

I installed this bumper with Rough Country 9.5 Winch.
The only hiccups were the fog lights from the Rubicon model do not match up with this bumper due to the housing on the fog lamps.

Quality?

First, it is a nice looking bumper. As previously mentioned in another post. The override mounting bolts raise the bumper creating a misalignment of the mounting bolts. I was up and down about bumpers for awhile. I knew I wanted a Stubby bumper, knew I wanted a recessed winch area, something not to awful heavy, and I wanted a clean look. bumper from Quadratec and they lined up perfect! Fog light installation was a breeze too! I grabbed the rear bumper to match which looks just as good!

Why 4 stars? I don’t have proximity sensors on my JL and got shorted the black caps to cover the holes where the sensors would be. I’m sure RR would send them to me I just haven’t called. Also lining up the 3 bolts that are already pre-installed in the bumper into the frame tried my patience a little 🤣. Still having nightmares about those plastic bolt tabs. If I could share some advice on those. Use fingernail clue(Props to the wife). Once we did that they didn’t go anywhere and made install easier.
