gh the carpet did have some insulation on the backside in specific areas, I decided to insulate the entire floor of the Jeep before installing the carpet. Using a tip from the TV show "Garage Squad," I bought a roll of Reflectix insulation from the local hardware store and used 3M 90 Spray Adhesive to glue it down. Since I opted for the carpet kit without adhesive, I used double sided carpet tape to help hold the carpet in place where there were no bolts coming through the floor pans. The carpet came in 6 pieces; both rear wheel wells, back, middle, front and a piece to cover the tailgate. The piece covering the tailgate gave the Jeep interior a nice finished look. Besides cutting holes for the seat track, seat belts etc, I did have to trim the front piece a little where it covered the firewall. Overall, the carpet really made a big difference in how the Jeep's interior looked. I was also glad I went to the trouble of installing the extra insulation. The road noise has been reduced significantly and no more frying eggs on the floor boards during those hot Phoenix summer months. Read Less
