e kit comes with a drop bracket for the trac bar, but not anything for the drag link. These 2 bars must be perfectly parallel, or you will induce bump steer. A Jeep mechanic told me they only change the steering geometry on lift 4" or more. You should NOT change any of that on anything less. This is a 2.5" lift, so the drop bracket was a waste of time and money, and only worked to cause problems. I removed it & the bump steer disappeared immediately.
2. Very Rough - The springs & shocks combination seem to be VERY ridged, and made for a VERY rough and bumpy ride, compared to stock Rubicon ride. I replaced the shocks with much more expensive adjustable shocks and that seemed to help some. However, it is still more bouncy than I want it, and will likely replace the springs as well.
3. Bad castor - I tried to install the Caster bolts, but that was a fail! I couldn't get them to work right & stay set, so I didn't use them. The Jeep was very hard to keep straight on a rough road. It just bounced from one side of the lane to the other at higher speeds. It was scary to drive! I eventually replace the lower control arms with adjustable ones & put in 5 degrees of castor. Now it stays in the lane on a rough road, like it should.
I suggest they remove the trac bar drop bracket & the castor bolts from this kit & replace it with adjustable lower control arms. Additionally, they should include better shocks and slightly softer springs with this kit. Had I known all these issues, I would NOT have bought this kit. It seemed like a good deal for the price, but it was a very bad deal in the end. I have had to replace and upgrade the most important key components of this kit. So basically, the only thing I have kept out of this kit is a few pieces of hardware worth maybe $50-100. Rugged Ridge needs to ditch this junk & go back to the drawing board on this kit.
